Your Role and Responsibilities

Brief activity description:

This role specializes in performing and enabling remote technical support under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the applications used by the financial division of a well-known German car manufacturer. As a Technical Support Intern, you will have the possibility to work in a multinational team, having a Senior colleague to guide you through the processes and tools


  • Providing technical support resolution feedback to clients and/or IBM client resolution teams, using business knowledge and procedures learned during the Knowledge Transfer period;

  • Using technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and ensure problem resolution;

  • Performing Level 2 and 3 support based on troubleshooting instructions for in-scope applications

  • Communicating action plans to the client or IBM representative, as appropriate;

  • Recommending and implementing new features or improvements for existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes;

  • Contributing to department attainment of organizational objectives and high client satisfaction;

  • The Internship program is for a determined period of 3 months - full time with a high possibility to extend the collaboration.


  • After 3 months of internship the candidate can be offered the option of a permanent position in IBM

  • Interaction with IBM professionals to gain industry insight and exposure to international projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Last year student or fresh graduate of a technical faculty: Cybernetics, Computer Science, Mathematics etc.

  • Understanding IT solutions and networking Operating systems: Unix, Linux

  • SQL database knowledge

  • Communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Time management skills

  • Pro-activeness and willing to bring innovation forward

  • English advanced

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • previous activity within university projects

  • German: nice to have

  • Cloud computing knowledge (AWS/ Microsoft Azure) – nice to have
