JOB TITLE: Digital Asset Management Librarian

FUNCTION: Marketing

CITY & COUNTRY: Bucharest, Romania




What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

As a Digital Asset Management Librarian, you will support DAM users in uploading assets, searching and retrieving existing assets, and delivering reports on DAM usage across global markets. (Scope: Global)

You will be playing a key role inside the company; you will oversee day-to-day management of the DAM tool for the client marketing team and global markets. Run assets to new DAM and continue to handle them once initial migration is complete. Bring existing assets up to industry standards, including continuous evaluation and iteration of file directories and metadata. Ensure users conform to metadata tagging requirements in new DAM system as well as folder tree structures.


  • Register creative assets to the DAM system and provide asset availability per campaign needs along with participating in regular evaluation of DAM asset collection.

  • Catalog assets using best practices for describing records; follow metadata standards, comply to language/formatting guidelines, and use controlled vocabularies.

  • Develop an understanding of business needs to develop streamlined structures around asset retrieval needs.

  • Develop and maintain taxonomies and metadata schemas that are best structured for the organisation type, including the products and services.

  • Perform quality control for record data, including usage rights; audit existing metadata as needed and set up controls/ permissions for viewing and downloading assets.

  • Provide technical support for system users and troubleshoot issues, including handling DAM user accounts and collaborate with the vendor to ensure it is operating to optimum level

  • Train new and existing users; assist in the development of user tutorials.

  • Establish rights management components for asset use to minimise legal and compliance risk; manage licensing and copyright requirements.

  • Conduct regular reports and research on important aspects of DAM usage and performance to support evidence-sed decision-making.

  • Collaborate with DAM Lead and cross-functional teams to innovate, develop, implement, and improve asset management capabilities, approaches, and services.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information science, computer science, or sociology as acceptable alternatives.

  • AEM Assets Developer Professional, AEM Business Practitioner, and/or other Adobe Certifications or Accreditations.

  • At least 3-5 years of professional-level experience working directly in a DAM system.

  • Firm grasp of photography, creative, and production processes common in agencies and digital media organisations.

  • Knowledge around controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, file and folder naming conventions and structures along with color models and ICC profiles

  • Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) and/or search engine marketing (SEM)

  • Understanding of AEM Workflow capabilities, Metadata Models, and Tagging Configuration.

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to learn customer product lines and become self-sufficient as a DAM Librarian.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.

Technical skills

  • At least one year of experience in working with Adobe Asset Link and Adobe Experience Manager Desktop Manager and use cases on a DAM project.

  • Solid understanding of digital/graphic file formats and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge and Adobe InDesign in a pre-production capacity.

  • Experience with Adobe Workfront, or other Marketing Resource Management platforms.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
