Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a complex group of commodities related to price/value determination, product and/or service negotiations, terms and conditions, supplier relationship, development and performance.
- Develops the procurement strategies for assigned commodities, supplier analysis, supplier selection and pricing strategies.
- Managing Purchase to Pay process in nominated categories.
- Performs procurement activities including autonomous management of tenders, assessment and negotiation of offers in line with the business requirements, supplier analysis, supplier selection and pricing strategies.
- Daily communication with suppliers, order placement and conformation, delivery control and invoice error handling.
- Responsible for supplier reviews including performance reviews, business development and supplier awards programs. Acts as primary contact with suppliers and internal customers to facilitate problem resolution and performance standards.
- Provides support to internal customers to resolve quality, serviceability and performance related issues.
- Identifies cost reduction/cost avoidance opportunities, develops and recommends solutions for cost reduction through process improvement, process alteration or alternative sourcing.
- Purchase order and delivery schedule planning and placing within the frame agreements given by Category Manager or Procurement Manager
- Contributes to the development of operational procurement processes.
- Consolidates and escalates all critical shortages, supply issues and risks to the Procurement Manager and Category Manager while handling supplier management (claims, relationship management, etc.)
- Contribution to supplier KPI measurement (service and delivery accuracy)
- Meets the objectives by tracking performance indicators, such as cost saving / cost avoidance targets, suppliers payment term improvements, requisition processing time.
Candidate Profile:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Management, Purchasing / Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operational procurement within a global manufacturing organization.
- Strong background in procurement including cost optimization, negotiations, contracting.
- Mandatory advance English language skills
- Ability to work independent and to conduct routine tasks with meticulous approach and attention to details.
- Critical thinking, analytical skills and attention to details are strongly required.
- Must be able to make decisions regarding pricing purchase, order timing and delivery schedule to secure sufficient supply of materials.
- Proficient with MS-Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
