About the Team

FIS is a global leader in payments processing technology, serving businesses of all sizes. Our financial products include credit cards, ATM processing, merchant services, rewards, and fraud prevention. Our New Acquiring Platform (NAP) specializes in delivering online payment services, putting us ahead of the competition.

We work collaboratively in an agile environment to provide effective solutions using our evolving payment platform. We are looking for proactive team players in the Fintech sector who want to develop scalable applications for the growing market.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coordinate and manage a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning


• Ensure solutions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements


• Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes


• Establish and maintain technical standards and alignment with the Acquiring Platform architecture roadmap


• Drive continuous improvement and exceed performance expectations


• Collaborate with project/program management and related application/function managers


• Communicate technical roadmap and strategic direction to your teams


• Take technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process


• Attend planning meetings and ensure deliverables are met


• Foster team motivation, retention, and performance

What You Bring

• Experience managing software engineers in medium/large companies, with exposure to multicultural environments


• Proven management and people skills


• Attention to detail and a result-driven approach


• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities


• Ability to provide direction, expertise, and support to team members


• Responsive, assertive, and a promoter of continuous improvement


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Strong development skills (experience in Java or similar required)


• Knowledge of engineering, DevOps, and testing best practices


• Experience with Agile development and associated technical practices


• Passion for technology and staying current with latest trends


• Experience managing development teams for at least 3 years


• Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations


• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues


• Fluent in English (written/verbal)
