REPORTING TO: Treasury Accounting Manager

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of BAT DBS Finance.

The role incumbent will supervise, post, reconcile external and internal bank General Ledger (GL) technical accounts open items of the financial vehicles’ entities of BAT Group.

Reports to: Treasury Accounting Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Regional

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Monitor, post, reconcile external and internal bank General Ledger (GL) technical accounts open items of the financial vehicles’ entities of BAT Group as part of the payments-on-behalf-of (POBO) and receivables-on-behalf-of (ROBO) in-house banking structure


• Post the internal bank statements for all entities, making sure to capture any manual payments/postings shared by the relevant stakeholders, in “In House Cash” (IHC) module


• Analyse the bank shadow GL external accounts to establish clearing rules or to manually instruct amounts received or paid from financial vehicle entities accounts in other group entities and post them in the specific IHC accounts


• Process in SAP IHC module postings and reversals instructions of treasury/POBO items and manual payment requests received from Treasury various teams


• Participate to various improvements projects and system change requests being responsible for the complete and accurate solution implementation


• Ensure SOX compliance by performing specific controls and providing accurate and complete evidence; Deliver open item reports as per the agreed scheduled with Dealing Team and Centre FX Liquidity Team

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• Degree qualified or equivalent


• Basic double-entry book-keeping knowledge


• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks


• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure


• Understanding of SAP (or ability to learn)


• Basic Excel experience


• Strong numeracy and analytical skills

• Good command of English
