This role is responsible for technical product development, its functional performance and compliance.





Job Description:






  • You will determine, develop and confirm Mechanical, Electrical and Software Requirements of product;

  • You will support/lead generic projects for creation of next generation products (new applications, technologies and product functions);

  • You will work with internal and external resources in the development, acquisition, validation and installation of new products;





The System Engineer will be developing and launching new technologies for drivetrain control units such as double clutch transmission.





Responsibilities:






  • Analysis and clarification of customer requirements (specifications) with the customer and the internal departments Hardware, Software, Mechanics and Test;

  • Derivation and transfer of customer requirements into technical system requirements (specifications) according to the methods of requirements engineering;

  • Carrying out reviews of the system requirements with the specialist disciplines;

  • Collaboration in the creation of a system architecture and FMEA, as well as clarification of internal and external system interfaces;

  • Creation and description of the system architecture on a logical and physical level;

  • Creation and description of system concepts;

  • Create functional specifications such as system specifications, block diagrams and system-level interface descriptions;

  • Support in the evaluation of the test results together with the disciplines for test, hardware, software, mechanics and functional safety;

  • Leading the technical design in cross-disciplinary issues such as the optimal implementation of a function in hardware and / or software;

  • Error analysis and system integration on the test bench and on the vehicle;

  • Cooperate with international and interdisciplinary teams.





Job Requirements:






  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Electronics, Computer science, Automatics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Bioengineering, Mathematics or Physics);

  • Min. 3 years working experience in automotive industry;

  • Understanding of System Control Engineering, Electronics and Physics;

  • Knowledge in requirements engineering and functional safety according to ISO 26262;

  • Knowledge in development of automatic control systems;

  • Knowledge of system and software development processes;

  • Automotive SPICE;

  • Independent and goal-oriented working method;

  • Ability to prioritize and structure tasks;

  • Capability to analyze technical problems;

  • Good writing, reading and speaking English skills;

  • Analytical skills and a structured manner of work;

  • Intercultural competence.
